A fat transfer to the breasts consists of harvesting fat from one location of the body, purifying the fat , and then reinjecting the fat into the breasts to enlarge them. Many women opt to undergo a “natural breast augmentation” because of changes that occur as part of the natural aging process: the body produces less estrogen, the breasts lose their fullness, and the skin loses its elasticity. If you are a candidate, your plastic surgeon will explain the procedure in full. On the day of your natural breast augmentation, you will travel to the Midtown Manhattan-based Body Sculpting Center of NYC, and your plastic surgeon will utilize either local or general anesthesia. Patients can expect the “natural breast augmentation procedure” to take anywhere between 1-3 hours. During your procedure, fat is extracted from a problem area where the patient desires less fat. The fat is then purified and reinjected into the breasts to increase the size and enhance the shape of the breasts as well as improve the symmetry between the breasts.. Once the procedure is complete, you will go home and begin recovery on the same day of your surgery. Patients should avoid vigorous exercise for at least 1-2 weeks (or until the plastic surgeon clears you).
